Hi,

We have a Baxi Bermuda back boiler central heating system which generally works fine and in the 23 years we have lived in this house has barely caused any issues. However, when we switched over to Water Only yesterday the noises it made were horrendous with a huge boiling noise and it was literally shaking. When I turn it back to Water + Heat then it's all fine again and doesn't make a peep. Any ideas what it could be? It would be typical that it would need replacing after we've only just decorated :)

Thanks
Phillip

No it wont need replacing, perfectly serviceable, dont let a combi slinger tell you therwise, most likely the boiler thermostat needs replacing, still readily available and an easy job, could be other things of course but you havent given enough information to rule those out

Thanks! My initial thought was the thermostat as it definitely just felt like it was a kettle that didn't know when to switch off.
