Social-economic problems tend to lead to more crime. The longer your family have lived somewhere, as in multiple generations, the more likely you will avoid a life of crime. So the problem is socia-ecomonic more than race. Just happens that many people from immigrant familes are still poor. Which is why its good to be woke - integrate, provide education, opportunities and hope, and you get a better society.
