I have an Alpha 240e and for a fey years it has had issues with regards to heating water where it would light up the burner then after say 30-40 seconds switch of then say 10 seconds later it would fire up again. this is okay if your filling a bath up but not great when your having a shower. But recently it has a new trick where it just wont fire up at all i have to switch it on and off until it decides to work again. i had the diyafram replaced which made it better but not right any ideas?

There can be several causes but the most likely one would need a Gas Safe registered engineer to diagnose and fix it.

As you have put up with it not working for several years one would expect that you never have it serviced either. Its possible a service done properly would solve the problem anyway.
