Boiler Loosing Pressure

Hi - I have a Myson Midas Si which is about 20 years old and it has started loosing pressure. I find that I have to top it up with water every day to keep the minimum operating pressure of 1 bar.

I have checked rads for leaks and all seem fine and there is no sign of leaking around the boiler so I am wondering why the pressure is dropping?

Could the main heat exchanger leak when it gets hot maybe and turn the water to steam?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Wacky idea that. I have just read some similar posts and checked the overflow from the safety valve on the boiler to the outside which is dripping.

Is a new safety valve likely to solve the problem?

Thanks again

Chris
