I'm having trouble removing the rubber seal on the front panel, i can't figure out how to release the metal hoop. I need to remove the panel athe pump is blocked and need to remove debris after pipes froze. can anyone advise me

I take it you have a washer/dryer. Are you trying to say you need to remove the pump? Can't you clear the blockage by taking out the filter? If you have to take the pump off you shouldn't need to remove the whole front to get at it. Lean the machine back against a wall or carefully lay it down supported on some timber, kitchen stool or whatever you find at hand. If there isn't a bottom plate you can remove the pump without too much trouble. If there is a bottom plate it tends to be pop-riveted & is easy to remove (it serves little purpose, so I usually don't bother putting it back).
