Hello all.
When we bought my house we had major renovations done, with a new boiler and bathroom installed the boiler needed boxing in and so he did that for us. This like most things, was bodged. Every year when it comes to boiler service I would have to take off all the MDF panels so as I could lift that top cross piece of CLS so as the front cover could be taken off. This had taken it toll on the wood. After this years service I just left the panels off and decided to knock up a replacement.
So, me, I'm pretty much a novice when it come to woodworking. I have been wondering how to do this with my limited experience and tooling. I came across this video
which gave me the idea to build the frame the same and then screw on a piece of ply to the side panel and then just 2 basic ply doors over the front of the CLS, then it got me thinking how to hinge up up against that wall if I'm on top of the CLS? So today I watched that video again and thought maybe I could do it internally like he has but with just a solid piece of play but that would mean leaving the CLS exposed- would this look awful do you think? Not sure I could cover the frame as he did as I don't have a table saw to rip down small pieces ( do have a circular with a rail). Left wall is also way out of plumb - can see in picture.
I'm not looking to create something too pretty but just looking for ideas
