Repainting old exterior brickwork - see pictures. Has some algae/mould that I managed to scrape off. Noticed some moisture on bricks under paint in first picture.

Not sure if I need to use a fungicidal wash ( Everbuild 404) before I seal with some 406 and paint with Weathershield.

Any advice appreciated..

Thanks.

My view - yes, use the Everbuild 404 as it will help properly kill off any mould and algae before you seal and paint. It's pretty cheap anyway, so why wouldn't you?

If you didn't use it, you might get some paint damage from mould or algae re-establishing itself.

Thanks - Did feel like right thing to do but never used before so wasn't sure
