hey to all you sparky gurus, :P

Need some help, I have run a 2.5mm cable ring circiut on 32 A MCb, the total length from the start of the CU and the return to the CU is approx 55m.

Is the cable size adequate.

Do i need to consider voltage drop on this too, if so please can you help to work this out.

This final circuit will be used in a lounge area so, TV, DVD, SKY ....

Thank you

2.5mm cable rated at 18mV/A/m so 55 meters will give 18*32*55/4 as ring main so 7.9 volts there are some connection values etc. But close enough.
See http://www.theiet.org/publishing/wiring-regulations/updates/ and download BS 7671:2008, Corrigendum (July 2008) to see what is allowed on a ring main.
Be aware any new circuit needs Part P notifying.
Are you sure you need 32A or would a 20A radial do the job?
