I want to fit a cast iron fire as a decorative piece but there are on pre drilled holes - any ideas how to fix this to the wall.
I have a wooden suuround that I also need to fix

Stick it with Gripfill or similar. The mantle is usually fixed with 'mirror plates' sunk into the plaster and filled over flush.

thanks - the wall the mantle is to go on is wooden panel - any ideas for concealed fittings?
 
Fix with mirror plates the same but hide them using a wooden beading down each side of the mantle? Stain / paint the same as the wooden panelling.
