Hello my central heating is 20 year old, and I recently changed my pump. When the controls are in timer mode the ignition light goes on and off, and the display for Central Heating and Hot Water Blinks on and off. I can hear the boiler trying to start, and can see the ignition light in going on and off repeatedly. I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me what was going wrong with my central heating system.

The Boiler is a Potterton Netaheat Electronic, and the controls is a Potterton EP 2000

Thank you.

If it's OK in constant mode, it's a faulty timer.

common fault on EP 2000 good thing is it only takes 2 mins to change for an EP2002 with no wiring alteration
