Central heating not working!

Hi i am tatally new here and would really appreciate some advice please.

I moved into a new house, its about 10 years old, it has a baxi boiler, i dont know the model number as there is no manual.

When i sitch it on, the water heats up and it does make a noise like it is firing up but the central heating wont come on.

I have tried turninh the room thermostat up, etc, can anyone help?

Pump or ch zone valve stuck shut.

Do the rads heat up if the hw is on?

I think you may have to describe your system in a little more detail.
My room stat controls a pump only, so if I had your problem it would be most likely the 'pump' although it could be the room stat (doubtful)

In some systems the room stat controls a motorized valve (or even two), which in turn controls the boiler and pump. If your system has such a valve, then the valve head is probably the cause.
I would think a 10 year old house would have motorized valve or valves
