Hello

I have a combi-boiler with a RBW9 timer downstairs which is connected to the thermostat Landis & staefa upstairs. no problems for 9 years, was serviced last year and the pump needed to be changed 6 months ago as the electric was tripping.

Now, for some reason the system is taking no notice of the thermostat. even though its set at 20 deg - the boiler doesnt switch off at all. i have tried to reset the rwb9 to 7 day factory setting and left both HW & CH at AUTO - still no difference.

So, I am just switching off the fuse switch once its too hot and switching it on when it gets cold.

Any suggestions to which could be at fault - the timer / thermostat? remedies?

thanks in advance.

probable sticking switch in the boiler ,
Make and model of boiler may help

Its a Ideal Classic FF380 boiler with a Megaflo Heatre Sadia CL250 tank.

The only way to deal with these problems is to follow the call for heat through the wiring using a test meter!

Or get an engineer to do it for you.
