Has anyone encountered any problems with the flue turrets of these appliances? The two halves of the outer plastic part are separating.
We have several members who have brought up this problem, but MTS technical director says he has only heard of Dagenham and Redbridge council flagging up the problem before, but nothing since. They apparently rebonded them, we would not dream of altering manufacturers specifications without a procedure in writing from the manufacturer on the other hand
The same with Ubbink the manufacturer of the flue elbow they didn't know there was a problem.
We would be interested to what extent this problem is occurring.

I would not even involve myself with such a shoddy appliance. Excuse my ignorance, but your asking why exactly? I have no idea who SWAGE is Im afraid.

The flue turret is probably the only reliable piece of this appliance

hi i work for the contactor that covers the gas contract in barking and dagenham and we have been told that we can glue together the 2 halfs and mts have supplied a large jubilee clip to hold them together .believe me it does not look good, but manufactuer has sent it in writing that this is ok
