Hi all

Before I start I will say that I assume the resonse is going to be get some one in. But thought I'd just check before shelling out money.

I have an icon23t combi boiler.
Recently noticed that the pressure has dropped into the red.
Also noticed that hot water isn't coming on like it used to. Tap either has to be on full for. Good few minutes or I have to turn the central heating on to get hot water.

I assume that both problems are related? And probay something to do with the diaphragm??

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Sam

You need to re-pressurise the sealed heating system first. Your installer should have shown you howe to do it.

Unfortunately I have just bought the house, and havent been shown anything about the boiler.

To re-pressurise it, (i assume that fixing the pressure will fix the hot water issue???) is it do-able by me or get some one in?

I have the manual so can find any parts mentioned, and trust myself not to blow myself up (allways useful). So if someone could tell me how to repressurise would be greatful.

Many Thanks

Sam

After doing a bit of research I have successfully re-pressurised my boiler. Thank youfor the advice given.

However i am still having issues with hot water.

Some times you get hot water straight away.
Some times you have to have the boiloer on full for a few minutes before it kicks in.
Some times it doesnt kick in at all.

Any advice? Or is it call in someone who knows what they are doing?

Any advice appredciated.

Thanks

Sam
