Combi boiler problem.

When i turn on my hot water, the radiators start to warm up even though they are turned off at the thermosat. This never used to happen. Any suggestions please as to why this is happening? Thanks

Usually a diverter valve fault. There are many types though.

Its a Potterton Puma 80e.

Still most likely to be a diverter valve problem.

Not one of the easiest to change!

Do they get very hot or just warm,& is it as soon as you turn the hot water on? Its usual for the rads to get slightly warm after running a hot tap for a while as the pump will kick in to get any risidual heat from the boiler to the radiators.If they get very hot its the diverter valve.

Defo a fault with the diverter but for this problem u can just change the wax capsule really easy to do and for a competent installer honestly really takes no time at all hope this helps.
