Hi all

I’m preparing my floor ready to self level. I removed a section of loose concrete, and on removing this I identified two copper pipes which were underneath and around this

Will it be okay to fill this gap with ready made concrete prior to self levelling over the top?

Many thanks for your help

Don’t look like copper, unless photo is poor, any pipes in concrete should be protected, seems to be evidence of such in photo.?

Ah okay, what would you think these pipes are? I imagine they are water pipes for the radiators

Do they need to be protected above, as the concrete was directly on top of the pipework?

I’m using a self level compound that covers up to 40mm in depth, so will this be okay to self level as it is?

Thanks so much

I think you need to investigate further, where they go, are they 'live' and why they are so near the surface.
