Got called to a house with water stains and black mould all around the bathroom Velux.
Went up through the Velux which is a half tile up from a lead center valley. I took the tiles off around the velux and there are patches of water on the breathable felting.
At the top there is doubled up batten to support the lead flashing below the coping stone, just above the top tile. This batten is soaking wet and the under side of the top flashing is also soaking. Is there anyway to prevent the underside of the lead becoming this wet. Sure its then just running down the felting and pooling by the angled valley side board board and getting in.
