I am looking to get a small conservatory on the back of the house, less than 4 square meters. It's use will be mainly just a bit more storage and to house a tumble drier. My question regards the way the water will drain away from the building towards the drain. It will be built in a back yard that slopes down hill and also towards the house. This means that without drainage there will be the strong possibility of standing water at one side. Three different companies have suggested three differing approaches to this problem. One was a new and expensive storm drain, another suggested linear drains around two sides and a third suggested a pipe through the concrete base taking the water away towards the main drain. This is the cheapest option but is it allowed/going to cause serious problems? Any advice greatly appreciated.
