I am planning to buy Next door house terraced, 2 up 2 down.
I have few queries, had a look at other threads but not very clear so thought of starter creating new one.
1> Is the planning permission required for internal work ? i.e making door entry in the party wall?
2> What do i need to do to notify council ? I think the combined council tax would be lower if this is displayed as one house, rather than 2. Is it beneficial to de-list one of the property? Any disadvantages?
3> Any info on how to approach energy/water supply companies to let them know about this and ask them to only keep one connection and remove the other. would they just disable it? or cut it off?
- specially, water, would i have to use the water meter? or i can keep the existing setting?
- Please suggest
