20 years ago called to work in neals yard, covent garden, london.eccentric owner and author of alternative england and wales had large loft room heated by 4in copex ,heated at bottom by small bunsen burner type flame, coiling around whole perimiter and exiting at high level.seemed to work, wonder if same systemran around low part of loft, taking heat by being placed over rangeheater, and exiting at high level, any one see any problem?

yes it was 20 years ago, i am sure there must be some rule now

no idea if their would be any regulations preventing you doing this!
though from a common sense point of view, creating a 100mm shaft from your kitchen (range) to your attic would in effect create a chimney for smoke to permeate your house quicker if a fire was to start in your kitchen.

quite clever idea though :P
