I have noticed a crack in both sides of the frame of a sliding door. I can understand a crack appearing in the weld but not in the actual UPVC.

Could anyone provide me with a possible reason for the failure?

My initial suspicions are the frame has been fitted badly out of square putting pressure on the corner but I've noticed both frames are at different heights on the outside.....

It looks like the patio door isn't sitting flat down on the sill like it's adjacent frame is......why is this, get down and take a photo of this gap either side of that 25mm trim, maybe if it's hovering and you've stepped on the threshold then that could of broken the frame if it's not supported, first things first show up a picture but that looks like poor fitting
