Can't blame people for going for free loft insulation, but its getting ridiculous.
How can you quote for plumbing/heating work, when everything is buried under several feet of rock wool? An example: went to price a job for an old dear in a bungalow to change vented microbore system over to combi. The valves, pump, wiring centre, manifold, AAVs, pipes, etc, etc were buried somewhere under 2 feet of insulation. My quote had to include someone removing most of the insulation, then reinstating it.
Even simple jobs take much longer, having to find components under the insulation and track pipes and cables.
Rant over!
