dead Hotpoint Aquarius DWF30

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has any ideas on this one, used the diswasher a couple of days go - everything worked fine, went to use it today and it was totally dead, push the start switch and apart from a very quiet thud from the lower right hand side, absolutely nothing, no lights, no motor noises - completely dead - I checked the fuse and socket, both work fine, checked water supply - no problems there - anybody got any ideas??

Hi Zipper,
Thanks for the info, but I don't think its that, I have got the panels off at the moment, and if I manually fill the dish washer with a bucket, when you push the power button the machine drains fine, after it has emptied it though - nothing - no lights, it doesn't try to carry on at all !

Hmmm - the plot thickens, it is not emptying completely, when it stops, there is a couple of mm of water in the bottom of the machine, if I put more water in, it doesn't matter how much I put in, it appears to be always emptying it to the same level - could it still think its in mid cycle for some reason?? if so, how can it be reset?

does the pump run or is it going straight out with no noise .

Yes the pump runs, it doesn't seem to matter how much water i put in, the pump always pumps it out to the same level a couple of mm in the bottom - occasionally the inlet servo will click, but no water enters.
