Dishwasher salt container problem/AEG

Hi there

I have recently had a dishwasher installed, and noticed that the salt container is always full of water. Should it be? I had to put a litre of water into it on first wash, but 6 or so washes later and it is full to the brim. Should this be the case, and if not, what might be the problem?

yes it has water in it all the time dont worry about it .
