Double Garage Foundations

Gday all been reading up on footings for a double garage and usure on how far to dig down for the footings?the garage is 17ft wide by 16ft long.also if i was to get someone in to ig the footings and do the concrete work what price range should i be looking at?in case i get lazy lol
