Hi all

Just wanted to know have replaced an old Moffat Cooker unsure of model etc with an Indesit K3E 11XG. Problem is the old wiring for the old cooker seems to be very heavy duty and too thick to fit properly ino the Indesit cooker is it possible I will need to downgrade my power cable to a thinner type ?

Can you post the specs of your new cooker? Do you know what size the cable is?

You won't need to downgrade your cooker cable. You could terminate your old cable in this and run a smaller appropriately sized cable from here to your new cooker.

Overcurrent protection (such as a MCB) must be appropriate for the current carrying capacity of a new smaller cable.

But before doing any of this you should confirm the specs of your new cooker and the cable csa/installation method.
