expanding foam

hi i have had windows fitted uvpc and there is a gap around window up to 10 mm in places can i use expanding foam to close these gaps before the room is plastered. the outside is to be rendered as well thanks for reading

I do no see why not. They use foam instead of cavity closers in some European countries. But you should complain to the installer first. 10mm is unacceptable
