I have solid stone walls and want to rough render them, the type of render that is not smooth but shows the modulation of the stones. The walls would then be painted. I would think that this type of render is 'brushed' on, rather than using a float or trowel.
Question is what is the mix to do this?
Is it just sand, cement and plasticiser?
