Have a wall of a double row of bricks some 4 ft high with a 4ft fence and its posts are fixed on top of the wall using Metpost flush bolted plates.
These were fitted some time ago by previous owner and during windy conditions the 3" posts move in the plates.
As the posts and fence are in good condition, I want to use concrete spurs on the inside face of the wall boring a hole to concrete the spurs in the ground and then bolt the wooden posts to the spurs.
Can I concrete these spurs tight against the wall or should I have a gap of some sort between the wall and spurs to allow the concrete to fill that gap.
