I need to top up the pressure on my viessmann vitodens 100-w but have never done it before. Looking in the manual it seems I need to get a filling loop. I can see that I need to attach one end to the valve on the far right but where can I attach the other end to?

OK - your system can be a little more convoluted than normal boiler filling procedures if the installer kept to the factory procedures.

Firstly and hopefully they didn't so check other areas of your system for a hose that looks like this, presume you have a HW cylinder, check near that or anywhere on the main CH system pipework.

If you can't find anything like that that then there it's an overly complicated and convoluted process and it is explained in the manual. If you aren't experienced with this it may be safer to get an experienced engineer in to do it as it is quite specific. Get a service arranged and get them to do it at the same time if needed.

The short explanation is > shut off the flow and return valves > set the boiler to fill mode (tap) > get a hose > attach it to the filling spigot on the right hand valve using a jubilee clip or similar and get it clamped nice and tight on the spigot > open up the right hand valve (smaller valve just after the spigot connection, before the main valve) and then run the hose till the pressure gauge reaches the desired level > shut that smaller valve off > disconnect hose and open up main flow and return valves.

BTW - If the system is sitting @ 1.2bar cold then it doesn't need filled.
