Fitting a TRV

I've bought a ladder style radiator and a Danfoss RAS-D2 Combi valve set. I'm not sure about connecting the two together and the instructions for both skip this part. It looks as if the radiator has a parallel thread and the valve fitting is tapered. Do I need to put anything on the thread before tightening it or will it seal without?

ptfe tape, it goes on the same way as the valve turns into the radiator

im wrong it goes on the opposite way to the valve screwing in sorry.. i like to wrap it round 10-15 times

Had me mentally putting ptfe on then timmy just about to tell you, you were wrong
