Help needed.
I have a damp problem which an expert has assured me is due to moisture levels in my house.
So I am fitting fans in the kitchen and bathroom.
My problem is that the bathroom is small and there is no wall that I can put the fan through (plus I'm scared of heights!).
I want to put the fan in the ceiling with the pipe going in to the loft and out.
My problem is that it appears the way to do this is to vent through the sofit and my sofit is asbestos.
I've a PhD in chemistry working in the medical industry so I assure you all I fully understand the risks of handling asbestos and know how to handle it and what the law requires (I took my asbestos shed down last year!).
Even so I'd rather not cut through asbestos!
Anyone any suggestions for me?
Alternative ideas or safe ways to cut through the sofit???
