Hi

When fitting spindles in a new staircase do they have to be glued in place or can I just use nails? At the moment they're being kept in position by the fillets, which is how the previous staircase had been done.

Hey.

just finished fitting my new spindles and handrail. As long as you cut the fillets tight to the spindles, you should be ok just pinning/glueing the fillets in place and leave the spindles 'loose'.

If the fillets can't move, then neither can the spindles.

:D
