I have had the planning permission passed and have my building regs spec drawn up. My Architect has quoted the use of foundation blocks for the complete job, I would just like some advice please.

If I build with these I can see the benefit e.g. only one wall required
kingspan insulation fitted on the inside and then stud wall. Quicker to go up
as each block is 440mm long 300mm high and 215mm wide.

Compared to two walls of the thinner blocks ( 440mm X 215mm X 100 ) more sand cement and filling the void between the walls again insulation on inside and stud wall.

but is this normal and do I need to take anything into consideration when building like this. I have found these blocks at £3.10 and the thinner ones are £1.03.

any advice appreciated.
