Foundation inspection question

I am building a very small loft conversion. I have contacted an SE who has given me calculations for the steels and timbers for the new floor and dormers.
The SE hasn't asked to see the foundations of the house, so my question is..... will Building Control ask to see them or will they be happy if the SE is happy ?

A loft conversion puts very little extra load on the foundations. Having said that, some bco s will ask you to expose them for checking - most tend not to bother.
What's more important are the internal walls supprting the new steel beams.
