hi is this ok to put between pipes and joists?

is there a fire risk

Yes it does go up in flames very quickly, but only if it is caught by a naked flame eg blow torch

I use this on all my pipes where they cross joists etc.

any decent installer will always sleeve their pipes where they cross over joists etc.
only a fire risk when near a naked flame but so is wood.
