Hi everyone,

I've a wee question that I hope someone may be able to help with.

I have a Glow Worm 30ci boiler which in the last week has twice switched off due to low pressure. Each time I have recharged the pressure but this last time (tonight) I spotted water on the floor below it and when looking up at the underside of the boiler see that the water is dripping from somewhere at the back of the boiler.

Before I try to strip it to find the source I thought that it was worth asking if anyone here has had a similar problem and if so, is it something that I could repair myself? I'd hate to pay for a plumber to come out just to tighten a bolt. I have no experience of working with boilers but and fairly handy otherwise and would be willing to have a look at fixing this myself. Could this be a self repair job or am I just better calling someone in?

Any advise greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Ryan

first just get right underneath boiler with good torch and dry all water off and try ascertain excatly where its leaking from, then at least you can decide if its somrthing u can take on or not........ if u take off the outer white case( its only decorative not for safety or anything) 2 x torx screws bottom left and right, then pull down control panel u will be able to see most water parts inside boiler........will see where leaking from.
