Going on long holiday over winter...

I'm off to Oz this week and back the week before Christmas.

I was going to set the heating/hot water to come on for 30 mins a day in the morning just to keep everything ticking over and to avoid burst pipes, etc.

Does this sound ok?

Sounds like a waste of your cash to me.

Better to drain your system if you feel more comfortable but its not likely to get too cold before Xmas IMHO.

Or set your roomstat to about 10c.
