Yes, if you want to connect to the boiler wirelessly you'll need the RF Key as well. Equally, if you want to use Nest wirelessly you need to purchase the table stand

I’m surprised the Google nest 3rd gen is not a modulating thermostat especially as it takes into account outside weather and adjusts accordingly….

It supports opentherm, Worcester doesn’t.

Not yet, getting it fitted in couple of weeks, they giving me a cheap thermostat, so looking for something that not too expensive…. But one that modulates

The greenstar comfort plus 2 are quite reasonable and come with a key for the boiler…..

The nest thermostat seemed pretty good but clearly not suitable for Greenstar life range….

You could always just accept the free thermostat and try it for a couple of years. Not everyone gets on with load compensation or weather compensation. The efficiency savings are pretty small, even if you get the full theoretical level, which is in the region of 3% or 4%.

You are already buying a very expensive boiler with excellent modulation of heat output.
