Grass Fertilser/Weedkiller gone into a lump.

My box of fertiliser/weedkiller has been in the shed, its now gone into a big lump.
I tried breaking a piece of & disolving it, but it wont disolve, any ideas I dont want to bin it as its not that cheap.

is it meant to be a granular product that you sprinkle, or crystals that diissolve?

It was granules, I left some soaking in water thought it would disolve & I could then water it on.
I could try the liquidiser, but thats a last resort.

if it is granules, it is not supposed to dissolve easily. I think they mix the chemicals with some hard stuff like limescale so it slowly breaks down into the ground with the weather.

It might break up with a hammer or something.

Ok ta for that I will try crushing it as i cant disolve it.

Tried a hammer on it, I put the small bits in a mortar & passel.
Its all in the bin now.
Lesson learnt...buy liquid or store granules indoors.
