Hi,

I have an 18 month old GRP roof which is now flaking. I suspect this is due to a second top coat (flowcoat?) being applied over a dirty first coat.

Although the roof is watertight, the appearance is awful and is visible from the upstairs windows so I am looking for some advice on tidying it up. Is brushing the flaking coat off and applying a new top coat a good plan or will this simply flake again? Any other coating recommended?

Thanks,

Martin

Thanks for the quick reply Nige. From what I've read, I will need a Reactivation Primer prior to new top coat. Is that correct?

Haven't got a scooby  I just know the company made good stuff and it was covering a large roof where I worked back in the 90's. Certainly worked well then - have a chat with them
