This is posted purely for information:
For anyone confused by the Hager SPB015 / SPB015N SPD indicator window:
These models do not use a bright green “OK” flag like the SPN series. The window is frosted, and the red plastic behind it often makes people think the SPD has failed when it hasn’t.
Correct manufacturer‑confirmed behaviour:
• Healthy SPD:• Window looks clear, dark, or empty
• No bright red flag pressed against the lens
• The mechanical pin on the cartridge is visible and protruding
• Failed / End‑of‑life SPD:• A solid bright red flag is pushed right up against the window
• The pin retracts inside the module (this is the actual trip mechanism)
