Halogen mount stuck fast... please help!

Hi guys! I'm trying to change the halogen bulbs in my bathroom, but I just can't for the life of me unscrew the facia from the mount that sits in the ceiling. I had to smash the old bulbs just to get them out! I've tried hot water, WD40 soaking in, a tea towel - nothing seems to work. Anyone had experience with getting these fittings open? Thanks!

Have you a picture from underneath.
Depending how they are IP rated, some will twist off and some will have metal (like circlips) clips holding the lamp (bulb) in place.
They look like the screw type!
