Hi, This boiler fires up ok, does not lock out, heating works fine, but the DHW is non existant.

When a hot water tap is turned on, there is a good flow of water for about 6 seconds before the pressure drops, (as if the pipes are being emptied)and then the water just trickles out and is still stone cold, the DHW micro switch does not activate due to the plunger not coming out...

My questions are this.

1...Could the diaphram be damaged in the divertor valve causing the water not to heat up,

2...Why is the hot water only trickling out as if there is no pressure, the cold water pressure is great, even if the water doesnt get hot, surely the water should still flow reasonably,

3...Could the heat exchanger be blocked causing the trickle from the hot water taps, if the upstairs hot water taps are turned on at the same time as a downstairs one, then nothing comes out of the upstairs ones..

many thanks in advance, Tony..

Number 3 - yes.
There's a flow restrictor in the hydraulic block on the left. Try removing it. They have an O ring which swells up and stops the lot.

Thanks for that ChrisR,

I did remove the little yellow flow regulator and replaced the rest of the brass filter part, but that didnt change the flow.

regards Tony
