help, brushes?

Hi, my Candy 1300 sprint is working intermittently but not properly.
It partially fills with water, takes powder, stops, starts, the dial turns, it rinses, badly, spins not properly and empties but leaves washing very wet.

its about 5 yrs old...could it be the brushes? or does it sound like something else?
if yes brushes? can someone talk me through changing them please

Check the filter first if that ok check the brushes for a vid of how to do it go to you tube and type in washing mc brushes.
