hi, i have had the radiators in my house all changed and new ones put in last week, however after the plumber had put the radiators in, he has not filled the system properly. the boiler is an icont23 combi boiler. it was working fine before the radiators were changed. but now every time i fill the system via the filling loop to 1-1.5bar it empties out to zero in less than 10 minutes. the water i believe is all being emptied out via the overflow outside. could anyone give me any advice on how to rectify this problem please. i would be very grateful as i really cant afford to get a heating engineer out at this moment and time. Thanks.

I'm sure agile will correct me if i am wrong , but sounds as if the pressure relief valve is partially open, if you follow back that over flow pipe you might see a knob on the end of it under the boiler, not sure what it looks like on this model , but they can be ovious give it a flick might solve the problem

in fact there is a drain valve in this case next to the right hand side of the pump , it maybe partially open , pump is to the left of the boiler at bottom.

Hope he didn't drain the boiler etc via the prv  This could be the cause of your problem.

I can never understand why after people have some work done that they never seem to feel they cannot approach the engineer and ask him to come back and rectify it.

I think at least he should replace the prv for you even if he charges for the part.

Sometimes when you do a job you do have the misfortune of a fault appearing somewhere else, whether it is caused by you or not.

I would always go back to inspect and repair/advise the customer.
