Help! Zanussi Quick n Clean 850 won't run any selected program.

A washing machine named Fred.
Zero problems since buying Fred second hand 6 years ago, bless his little processor, till the other day. He boiled a wash, ignoring the 40 degree prog setting. And now refuses to progress through any prog or part prog. Fills to the correct level, emptys ok, but never stops pumping to drain after that. I can get the door open by running the drain or final spin prog (though the drum doesn't spin), then turning the dial to finish before pushing it in to turn off.

Heh, there's a launderette just down the road. I may get round to checking the whole machine out this weekend, but I have other things planned. That's the way it goes.
