HepVO Traps

For a shower tray installation, would a HepVo valve be used instead of a shower trap or in conjunction with one?

Hep2o traps/valve are ok for showers, baths ect They are quiet in operation and no chance of smell's coming back. They come with adapters

I know - they sound great. But the question is, do I install it inline with an existing Shower Trap, or do I just use the HepVo valve 'instead' of the trap?

It doesn't matter, But it would be easier in line
