Home network messaging

Anyone could suggest me a simple network messaging utility.
I need to send messages to son's computer at a first floor of our house.
We have xp on both of computers.

XP already has this facility built in. You will need to enable the messenger service on each client and then use the NET SEND command. Do a google for the syntax and examples.

Alternatively, you could try one of these.

Thanks, I'll try to find the best solution at snapfiles.
I don't want to learn commands, just looking something easy like a MSN messenger.

I've found softros LAN messenger for example.
