Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine - stopped mid spin

Hi - our Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine stopped midway through a spin cycle. The door locked light started flashing. I can open and shut the door but because the light is flashing the machine will not do anything. Has anybody got any ideas to help please.

Turn off power to machine and check the front filter, if it has one.

Model number? If its a wma then poss brushes taken pcb out or door spring broke.

Thanks Guys. It is a WMA54, will check the filter first. When you say poss brushes, take pcb out - do you think they may need replacing?

The brushes wear down then blow the tracks on the pcb. Is the door spring loose. Check the first two brushes and pcb.
